What happens at the end of halo reach

Noo...that's not what happened. This is how reach ended. In the piller of autumn, noble six(which is you) delivers the package, or "cortana" as it seems.
At the moment when delivers, the keyes commanded noble six to get on board, but he refuses. He decides to die heroicly. So he takes control of the blaster thingy that blasts the covenant ships. NOTE: after you destroyed some of the ships to clear a path for keyes, a cutscene will happen. THIS IS A SPOILER SO I ADVISE YOU TO SKIP THIS PART IF YOU HATE SPOILERS. When the cutscene happens, you hold down the left stick button. Keep holding it, and when you do, there will be a part that will suprise you. You will see master chief in a cryo-tube, the same thing you saw in halo 3 in the ending after the credits!

Now after the cutscene, there will be the credits. and after the credits, there will be mission for you. The objective is to try to stay alive. And yes, you are still noble six, but you are in planet reach. The covenant ordered that all humanity or Spartans were to be wiped off the planet. And so, when you begin the mission, covenant ships will drop the enemy. So after some time, you will eventually die. There is no secret ending that i know of, and plus there is no way the game will end to where noble six is alive. NOBLE SIX HAS TO DIE, that's it. At noble six's death, he takes off his helmet, and puts it down. The helmet will act as a camera, which will see his body(but not his face. The face can be whatever you want it to be, it can be your face or not. I think the point of halo reach is for the players to feel like they are in the game of halo, which is why noble six has no name, just noble six). Noble six will be crushed by some elites and he dies. Then the game ends. Reach..i don't really know, i mean i did not see any explosion of the planet reach so that's just it.

So in short, noble six dies valiently and reach is taken over by aliens..the end.

Ok, different answer, that is not master chief. If you read the books and the explanations this is befor halo 3. and in halo 3, MC is on a totally different ship. That person is kelly, a female spartan that is speedy. She is on that ship with master chief and 3 other Spartans. Later on that ship is attacked and they link it to another ship and make a strange half covenant half army type thing. There is only three Spartans left after that. But not completely left. After that, Dr. Halsley takes kelly and fixes her up. Then they go to planet where Chief Mendez (The spartan-II's old instructor) is training spartan-III's with Kurt. The planet is called Onyx. The Place gets over runned by Sentinels and covenant. At the end of halo 3 cortana says she is MC's shield and sword. What really is to be unraveled is that she is keeping planet onyx's secret. When the halo rings activate Onyx is the only place that is protected. So yeah.
