You shouldn't. The XBox 360 Elite normally comes with a 120GB HDD, enough to last you a long time for game saves, gamer profiles, and DLC (and other XBox LIVE content). Of course, if for some reason there is no expandable drive with it, you'll need to purchase a memory card to store data.
