Flipping is a terminology used primarily in US to describe buying or bullding an asset (usually real estate property) and selling it for a prfofit. Sit flipping is to make a successful site with advertising revenues and selling it for profit.

Website flipping is not unlike house flipping in real estate. With house flipping, you put money into a fixer-upper and you then sell the new-and-improved house for a profit. The same works with virtual real estate. When you build a website and you're able to monetize that website so that it's a fully functioning online business, there are many people who would be willing to pay top-dollar for such an item.
