Only if you hold down r1,r2,l1,l2 at the title screen. while holding press start and type blackout! ounce you catch him he will be avalible in monkey studio. Plus if you want pipotron go to the cheat code screen and type the following names redman - 12th level
coolblue - 16th level
yellowy - 9th level

to unlock spike monkey 2nd level
