No, Solid Snake does not die yet. The FOXDIE in him was mutating, yes, but Drebin injects a needle in him which was a new FOXDIE virus. This new FOXDIE virus prevents the old one from mutating further. However, the new FOXDIE will eventually mutate like the old one.
