When did Sly get his cane

Sly got the cane when the Fiendish Five came and attacked his home he was only eight years old . He was hiding in the wardrobe when they attacked his father. When they had killed his father they all took five pages from the family book it was called the Thievious Raccoonus the book had pages full of how to use special moves for a theif. In sly 4 Docter.M and clockwork are back and they want Bently and penalope's time machine and go back in time to stop sly from getting the cane and the Thievious Raccoons.
