How do you unlock the gold skin for guns in gears of war 3

You either get them:

• If you played Gears of War 3 between Sept. 20 and Sept. 26 will unlock them permanently

OR

• You can buy over a dozen premium weapons skin which are 240 Microsoft Points, and go all the way up to 3600 Microsoft Points ($45.00) for the entire collection.
