PVZ fatal error

I can't run pvz (plants versus zombies) on my computer because everytime i do, it pops up saying FATAL ERROR resource file could not be located properties\resources.xml

I can't get rid of it, and i don't know how to fix it. Please tell me how to! I really don't want to lose all of my in game progress.
