Where do you get pets in maple story

You have to go to Cash shop and go buy it with nexon cash. you get nexon cash by paying real money for it. Pets dont last forever unless you feed it with nexon pet food. If your pet dies you can but a potion in the cash shop to revive it. I also think taht you can buy pet food with meso from a person in henesy.
