What are the pros and cons of video games
Pros:You can improve your hand-eye coordination.
Games can be educational.
You can make friends with people who enjoy the games you do.

Cons:If you play for too long you can get repetitive strain injury.
Some people can get epileptic seizures if they play for too long.  Final word?Hand-eye coordination can improve, this is true (as the Wii has proven) as well as the fact that games are educational. Speaking of education, a lot of games have connections with other media, such as anime, which oftentimes goes hand-in-hand with mythology.
Anime (Japanese comics) has proven to pull a lot of stories from science (quantum physics in noien), as well as historical events (blood+ is based off of Vietnam) and Naruto (who is connected with the legendary nine tailed fox that is told of in Japanese mythology). However, be warned, as anime is far too often, adult oriented, and may not be suitable for younger viewers, especially blood plus.
Also, okami (a game about a legendary sun god in wolf form), though not connected to anime, contains several boss fights that are in Japanese mythology such as a nine-tailed fox (kitsune no kyuubi in Japanese I believe) a a snake (orochi is a Japanese prefix for snake) as well as hundreds of other allusions that I have yet to find out about.
However, as they said, people have been known to get epileptic seizures from playing, but that is also possible through movies and tv with flickering lights, like a thunder attack from pikachu from Pokemon. But hey, you can theoretically give someone a seizure if you flick a light on and off over and over! However, though I said that, it doesn' t necessarily mean that I did it, or does it? Ok, I admit, I tried it once, but to no avail! Rats! Just joking!
