Instructions to the falling sand game
Wall is a solid barrier that can't be destroyed by anything but Eraser. Oil is an explosive sand that you light with the Fire. Fire lights Oil, Plant, and Cera. Cera is wax in Japanese. Water Makes the Namekuji grow. Namekuji is slug in Japanese. You can light the Slug on fire, too. The slug shrinks when you put salt on it. The slug gets really tiny and then it explodes. You can make bombs and fuses in the shape of your name. In World Of Sand you can cook a zombie in a pan with salt. But I don't want to explain that.

Falling Sand is a fascinating interactive casual game. Imagine a whimsical blend of the old-fashioned crystal gardens grown in a bowl. Now, throw in a super-sized version of rock-paper-scissors Solitaire plus an Etch-a-Sketch and "Zen Garden". What you get is an awesome number of combinations for creating colorful fireworks, mazes, forest fires, strange green growths and amazing waterfalls and rivers crisscrossing your monitor.

Basic game begins with 4 elements (SAND, WATER, SALT, OIL) cascading downwards. Individually adjust the flow rate of any of the 4 columns (or turn any OFF) by clicking on the # next to each element.

Stop TIME or speed it up.

Change PEN size for drawing Walls, Spouts, Cera, Eraser.
Draw lines by choosing WALL or CERA, then drag or dab the screen using your mouse.

Erase lines with... Eraser.

Draw angled lines, mazes or containers under any of the pouring elements, let them fill and overflow. Punch holes in them with the eraser to create different waterfalls.

NAMEKUJI stops/starts that irritating pacman-like blob. You can also pour oil it until it gives up and rolls off the screen. However, if you pour SALT on it, watch out... it shrinks to nothing like a slug, then pops up somewhere else!
WALL - draws stationary lines; useful for mazes and to divert flowing water or channel growing greenery, etc.

SPOUT - creates both a temporary barrier AND flowing water
??? - causes an inferno that consumes everything

Elements' features -
Fire - burns PLANT, OIL, and CERA but is extinguished by WATER
PLANT - grows when it touches WATER
OIL - flammable, burns fast!
CERA (wax) - flammable, but burns slowly.
Now, put your thinking cap on -
Plants are flammable and grow, so dab a dot or a small clump near the screen bottom, then dab or draw a SPOUT dot or line high on the screen and when the water hits the green, watch the plant grow... after it's grown upwards (and outwards, depending on the size of the spout line) touch part of it with FIRE and see what happens!
Draw a WALL maze, let it fill with WATER, then touch the water with PLANT!
Or, let the maze fill with oil and touch it with FIRE.

Tip: When you choose an animated element and just hold down the mouse, it's like using a hose.
