Is it possible to put a copyright on a color palette
According to the Copyright Office, "To be protected by copyright, a work must contain a certain minimum amount of authorship in the form of original literary, musical, pictorial, or graphic expression." It would be difficult to assert that the palette embodied such authorship.

Colors can be registered as part of a trademark.
