If your action replay says unknown game what do you do after typing in the code and stuff

I know this from experience. If you have a game that says "Unknown Game" then that means that the AR does not contain any data for that game. You must either manually insert it or just go online and connect it to the computer. When you are done getting the game code, you are able to insert some cheats. Happy Cheating :)
