You can play games on a computer. You can format documents and create documents . You can use internet in your computer using web browser.

Where to start...! There are SO many things computers/laptops are used for. The list would to be too long to name everything, and i think it would take a genius to do it all, but i will tell you some of the things i can think of, : Contacting people through Social Networking Sites such as Facebook. Uploading photos. Finding out information/doing research. Broswing anything you like through Search Engines such as Google and Bing. Emailing people for business or socialising etc. Doing business online such as selling things on eBay. Working with computers (you might do this for your job if you work in an office) Gaming. Booking holidays.
These are the basics, but I am sure you'll find more things to do as well!
