What is assassins creed about
Assassins Creed is about a feud between 2 sets: the Templars and the Assassins. The Templars are fighting for control of the Pieces of Eden, powerful devices from the early times that will grant them powers beyond anyone's control. It is now the year 2012, and the Assassins are disappearing. A company called Abstergo, which happens to be ran by the Templars, discover an assassin named Desmond Miles, and capture him. They believe he is the key to finding the Apple of Eden, and the only way to find the location is to dig into his ancestor's memories. To do this, Desmond is hooked up to a machine known as the Animus. Inside, he gains control of the memories of his ancestor named Altair. Throughout these memories, the Templars force Desmond to find information that can lead them to the Apple. The head assassin, Al Mualim, recovers the Apple that Altair finds, but uses its power for his own use. Altair defeats him, and discovers that there are 28 more pieces scattered across the world. Abstergo sends a team to recover as many pieces as possible, and leaves Desmond to die. The credits fade as Desmond discovers the "bleeding effect" caused by the Animus, and sees symbols drawn in blood on the walls and floors.
(Assassin's Creed 2 and Assassin's Creed Brotherhood follow a different story)
