Heres what happens if you do the following:

Blow a Raspberry - He will kill you, causing you to leave house and not lose items in process.

Stroke - He just dislikes this and will growl at you.

Try to entertain - He like this and will start acting friendly.


Once he is friendly, show him your pet spider to continue onwards with the quest event.
