Are video games fun

It depends on your personal preference and the game in question. Some games are very fun, while others, not so much (see E.T. the Extra Terrestrial for the Atari 2600 for a good example of a bad video game - it, along with the Pac-Man port for the same system, was partly responsible for nearly taking down the video game industry).
