No they aren't, Shadow was created about 40 years before Sonic was born, so no they are not brothers. They just happen to looks the same. This answer is wrong because sonic has three brothers; Knuckles,Shadow and the third brothers name is unknown to me but if any one knows please use it to improve his answer. Btw its not silver
