How do you get a knuckles chao in sonic adventure 2 battle

First hatch a chao. Have Knuckles be the only one to socialize with the chao. Have Knuckles feed the chao red drives(Power) and get his stamina to lvl 16. The chao should evolve. Keep feeding the chao red drives by Knuckles and it should look like Knuckles after a while. NOT POSITIVE IT WILL WORK. JUST TRYING TO HELP.
