How do i rank up in counter strike global offensive

There are currently two different ranks in CS:GO.
The first is your matchmaking rank which ranges from Silver 1 to Global Elite, and this rank is affected by you winning/losing or drawing games in competitive games.

The second is your profile rank which ranges from Private Rank 1 onward. This rank is increased by playing any Valve servers as well as completing operation missions.
