How do you make a successful shop and tavern in town craft

I believe you are talking about the Mobile Game " TOWNCRAFT ". If so then it is fairly easy. I was able to figure it out rather quickly after playing around with it for some time and then not too long ago I had also found a guide for this.

Shops work relatively the same way but is used to sell other things. Make sure you stock your Tavern and your Shop after you build them otherwise nothing will happen. To stock them simply stand next to either building and click on the Gear Icon then click on the BAG. This is your store inventory so place all of the items or drinks you want to sell there. You will notice it shows a coin value amount next to it. This means you've stocked it correctly. Make sure to keep your stores stocked fully with items and drinks. When townies stop by and buy something you will see an icon flash over their heads of what they are purchasing to verify it.

Also watch out because there is a bug for buildings with npc's in them if you view it while they are in it and half of the building is cut hanging off your phone screen and an npc is half on your screen and have not then when you awalk away from your building they will sometimes get stuck in your shop walls. If that happens just exit the game and go back into it and that will fix it.
