What type of video game is TrackMania

TrackMania is a video car racing game. It was produced by Nadeo for the PC originally and was then adapted for other platforms such as the Nintendo Wii and DS consoles. The game differentiated itself by allowing the user to create their own tracks and then race against the clock. The user was able to respawn when their vehicle overturned, left the track or had a bad start. There was a multi player option but the vehicles did not interact with each other physically i.e. collide.
