Did the rebels suffer any battles against the galactic empire

The rebels lost many battles to the empire. two are the battle of the Tantive IV (Rebel Blockade Runner) and The Battle of Hoth. Technically, the first Jedi Purge was a battle between the newly formed Empire and the Rebels. This is shown in the 2nd battle of Naboo. The Empire found Jedi there and went there. Rebels were there with the Jedi and the Queen. The Empire won and beat them. About 5 times the Empire has won.(Not counting Second Galactic Civil War)
