Why does your gaming console have a lifespan of 10 years but your PC is obsolete in less than 4

PCs and technology in general have been moving at a exponential rate. So as soon as you get your pc off the shelf it's already out dated, scary fast. FOr consels for right now they are at thier peek given time there might be a new one but any more realistic and it would seem fake. Google human reality perception to see what I mean.
