How do you find emotions on Animal Crossing

Depends on the version. In Animal Crossing: City Folk, I know there is a theater in the city that you can learn emotions with. In Animal Crossing: Wild World, I know there is a guy called Dr. Shrunk that teaches you emotions. You can find him off a random encounter.
