How come playing video games makes you stupider but gaming nerds are really smart

I think that 'gaming makes you stupid' is a myth. I'm a big gaming nerd *blush* It would only make you stupid if you just played vido games all day and didn't study... but still it's not the game that makes you stupid, most games actually help improve your problem solving skills.
