Will Gears of War 3 be 2 players

The campaign for Gears of War 3 will be available to play in 4 player co-op but you can play split screen online as well (by using the guesting feature for Xbox live gold members). Horde and Beast mode can be played with up to 5 people and competitive multiplayer can be played with up to 10 people per match but these are online. I am unaware if there will be 4 player split screen, but I assume you will only be able to do 2 player split screen.
