Could the reason that Sonic drives in both Sonic Drift games is because of injuries he suffered just prior to both games

Haha, no, its because Sonic and his friends just wanted to race in cars. That would be unfair and cheating if Sonic was just running on foot in that game, cause we all know Sonic is the fastest thing alive.
