How do you raise the aquduects in Assassins Creed brotherhood

There are architects next to each of the broken aqueducts in ACB, you simply speak to them and pay them a few florins (app. 2000) and the aqueduct is restored.

There is no real benefit from doing this except edging closer towards rebuilding Roma 100% - you get a cape for this.
