Is halo 3 appropriate for 10 year olds

While Halo 3 does not have excessive blood and guts, and has no sex or drug use, it is still a game about fighting a war, and one might say violence is at it's core. Furthermore, no country that rates appropriate ages for video games has given Halo 3 less than 12, which is to say at a minimum one must be 12 to purchase the game. Ultimately it is up to the discretion of the parent or legal guardian to allow a 10 year old to play the game.
