What is Shattrath in World of Warcraft

Shattrath City, Shat for short, is the main neutral city of the Burning Crusade expansion pack. It is located in The Outlands, near Terrokar Forest, Nagrand, and Zangramarsh. It contains vendors of all types as well as professions trainers for every primary and secondary profession. It is under the controll of the Naaru, beings of light bent on stopping the Burning Legion. There is no pvp fighting allowed in Shattrath as it is a sanctuary.

It contains two main factions that you can ally your self with, the Scryers and the Aldor. The Scryers are a group of Blood Elves broke away from Prince Kael'Thas and offered to assist the naaru in Shat. The Aldor are an ancient Dranaei priesthood that work with the Sha'tar (a faction of the Naaru led by A'dal, to do battle against the Burning Legion
