When you install sims3 it gets to the serial number part and it stops installing help

I also had that problem. Here's what you do:
Copy the entire disc on your computer and install it from their, not from the disc. You can just go to My Computer, right click on the CD, choose Copy. Then paste in on your Desktop and run the install from there.
