How video games affect the brain

Video games teach you to do things in the real world that are only ok in the virtual world, for example, the Grand Theft Auto game was sued because a 16 year old went on a shooting spree in a mall after playing the game and thinking it was alright, however some games don't teach that, "The Sims" is a game where you take care of virtual people and it doesn't teach them much only that virtual people need to go to the toilet a lot (if you play the game, you would know what I'm talking about)
