Why does your Halo freeze right after the 3rd pulse generator

right after i disable the third pulse generator the game goes to the video interlude, then when cortana tries to teleport to the piller of autumn the game just sits there and teleports forever. ive tried restarting the game a bunch and playing this point again but it always does the same thing....
