No, he doesn't live on THIS Earth. He lives on a fantasy version of Earth, much different from our Earth that was created by Sonic Team to suit sonic's cartoony appearance. Mobius is just a planet from the old cartoons and comics and is not approved or recognized by Sonic Team.
