Can you kill a member of the brotherhood of steel without the rest of them becoming hostile in fallout 3

From what ive seen as long as no other brotherhood of steel guys are around they won't turn hostile. if there are, it will only be those guys, not the whole brotherhood. (so yes, you can kill them, take their holotags, and then sell them, pretending that you simply found the person dead... lol.)
