Why do republic commando helmets keep appearing in other games like clone wars republic heroes and force unleashed

Republic commando was a darker game, giving a more gritty view on the star wars universe, and people loved it. Sadly, the sequel was cancelled for some reason, I guess developers are putting it in as homage to the game
