How do you get the 2 player on petz horse club

If you've found that mare that was very ill, you will find back at your ranch that she is in a stall in the barn by the house. Right beside her, there is like a bulletin board or something with a blanket underneath, if you go there and press A, you will get a choice o play alone or 2 player :)
