In sonic adventure 2 battle how do you get chaos in the garden

Well first you have to make sure you open a Chao box in the game. It's just a blue box with a Chao head on it. Break it open and get the key inside of it. Then complete the level and you'll be in Chao World. Go inside the garden and find an egg, pick it up then throw it at the wall. It will crack open and your Chao will be in the egg.
