Do video games help kids with technology

Only if the kids in question are interested in learning. Some kids will use video games and only learn the minimum amount about technology required to operate them. Others will learn the ints-and-outs of all the capabilities, tweaks, and fixes involved in console and PC use, and seek out information and help wherever they can.
It is down to the individual, but the short answer would be: Yes.
