Where do you go after you escape from the first vault in fallout 3

well your best shot to survival is go to the town of megaton wich is marked on your map when you have the quest "following in his footsteps" active. go there and you have the choice to blow up the nuke or disarm it...
you will know what i mean when You get there i dont want to spoil every thing for you
