Why is the Particle Beam Sniper Rife in Star Wars Battle Front 2 not killing the enemies at a long distance

Perhaps your missing and you don't know it. Or if your on a computer, i could say the same thing and that packets aren't registering (rare occurance), usually caused by lag.
