If your playing with a team like the marlins or royals and you forget to keep an eye on your budget you end up like that. This is what I would do trade away your top salaries for prospects check the top 100 prospects list for them. It may be hard to get teams to give up their prospects so be prepared to make trades like David Ortiz and Randy Johnson for Luke Hochevar. Other than that just release players who aren't that good and have a high salary. If you decide to do this your team may not be very good but it will be in a couple of years. Hope this helps
