Did Demyx in Kingdom Hearts II have a best friend

Not much is really known about many of the Organization XIII members as of yet since none of their pasts have really been revealed. Demyx looks to be in the same age bracket as Axel and Roxas, therefore it's been speculated that the trio might've been friends, but it may or may not be true.
