How do you throw your axe into the town fountain on animal crossing lets go to the city

You can only throw a regular axe into the fountain. Only when your gates are closed you can do it and you have to be in front of the fountain to press C. Then a character named Serena appears above the fountain and if you want to get along then you need to answer the questions the right way. The choice is up to you.
