How do you dig on spectrobes

You first search with your child spectrobe and when you see flashing stars on the ground then click on one of the stars to start digging. Using your sylist click or rub the point on a spot to remove dirt. Be carefull not to hit the fossil, mineral, or cube a lot or you will fail the digging process.
