You know what sucks? I'm a millionaire on the game cube version Lol.
In City Folk and Wild World it is actually HARDER. I got tons of cash from big shadowed fish. But in the newer versions you rarely get the big paying fish. In your case catch as much fish as you can in Wild World and hit the money rock everyday, I got 15,865 bells in only 7 minutes. It's pretty incredible. It takes time and patience but it will pay off. :-)
