Is there a book called Half-Life and if not can I write it the same way like the game Half-Life from Valve

Hal Clement (Harry Clement Stubbs) wrote Half-Life, which was released in 1999. Valve Software's first person shooter video game Half-Life initially appeared in 1998. Having posted those facts, we can say yes, you can write a book and call it Half-Life and write it in the same way as the video game. But you cannot get it published. You'd be infringing on too many copyrights in doing so, and no publisher with any sense would pick up your book because it would certainly attract litigation.
