What is the origin of the God of War video game symbol it looks like an upside down U

i am guessing it comes from the Omega (greek alphabet)


It's the last letter of the greek alphabet.
In many religions it is used to symbolize "the end"

In Christian revelations God calls himself the Alpha and the Omega
and a bunch of people say it means "apocalypse"

it makes sense then for Kratos (a supposed greek god) to be the Omega.
