What is Modding in computer gaming
When the term Modding is used in the world of gaming, it refers to making modification to the game such as (and not limited to) characters, enemies, game modes, levels, models, modes, multiplayer, music, single player, story lines, and textures. There are two types of mods: Partial Conversions and Total Conversions. Partial Conversions are when new content is added to the underlying game. Total Conversions are when an entirely new game is created. PC games are often the most popular to mod as there are a variety of online communites where people congregrate to learn and teach. Some of these online communities provide a one-stop shop of extensive tools and documentation to assist any novice at modding.
